Koven loped around in a valley shaded with Rhododendrons, close to the snow line, where a stream, milky with melt-water splashed and where doves and linnets flew among the immense pines, lay a cave, half-hidden by the crag above and the stiff heavy, urban leaves that clustered below. The woods in which Koven travelled around, was full of sound: the stream between the rocks, the wind among the needles of the pine branches, the chatter of insects and the cries of small arboreal mammals, as well as the bird-song; and from time to time a stronger gust of wind would make one of the branches of a cedar or a fir move against another and groan like a cello. With each miniature sound Koven’s ears tilted in that course a fraction. It was a place of brilliant sunlight, never undappled; shafts of lemon-gold brilliance lanced down to the forest floor between bars and pools of brown-green shade: and the light was never still, never constant, because the drifting mist would often float among the tree-tops, filtering all the sunlight to a pearly sheen and brushing every pine-cone with moisture that glistened when the mist lifted. He twisted his noble cranium, looking for any indication of wolf existence. He lifted his snout to the misty the firmament, taking in the profound aroma of the atmosphere, there was hint of gunpowder; shaking his head to rid of the odour he paced onwards to locate refuge. A cool splash of rain, hit his noise, once more looking up, he saw the tiny pellets of rain beginning to splash strappingly on his shady pelt. “Not now” He muttered, flicking his tail to lash off transitory mosquitoes. The rain was not cool any more the humid atmosphere had deemed to heat it up; this was a small comfort to such a lonely he-wolf. Koven was a wolf that needed a muscular paw to settle him or annoyance and aggravation would take over.

Everything hurt. She lashed her plume underneath her hind legs in a submissive gesture to whoever may or may not be watching her. Her good eye scoured her surroundings, desperately searching for something she could draw any level of comfort from in her sorry condition. Her pelt scarcely covered her ribs as her thin pillars carried the fea across the heavy winter ground. Velli kept her head down as she rushed through the undergrowth, determined to avoid all other wolves; She knew what they’d do to her. Maybe this time will be different...She thought absently to herself, but she knew that she was clinging to a false hope. Nothing would change.
The fea’s curved audits switched forwards, thankfully her hearing was significantly better than her sight. A noise reached her auds, making them twitch as she strained for more clues as to the creator of the disturbance. A droplet of aqua rain landed squarely on Velli’s muzzle, startling her as she gave a pitched yelp. “Coward” The little fea scolded herself, but deep down she knew just how much that one word applied to her. Tucking her smoky plume further down, she continued on her way.
Then, as suddenly as she had heard him, her orbs found the brute ahead of her. Meekly, Velli ducked into the undergrowth, hastily dropping out of sight. She couldn’t let herself be seen. Velli’s pillar slipped from underneath her, and the fea almost cried at the volume of the twigs snapping. Genius....She mumbled to herself, figuring that the wolf would only hate her more if she hid from him.
Stumbling from the bushes, Velli dropped her head. “I’m sorry sir. I was just passing through and I didn’t mean to sneak up on you...I’ll be leaving now.” The fea stammered, edging away, already thinking of some horrible torture that could happen to her if she stayed.

Koven leased a deficient snarl depart commence from his orifice, it subsist then subsequently he desired he had not executed such discourtesy. There was an miraculous aura that dumbfounded him concerning this she-wolf. She had branded maltreatment, this was unambiguous, and there was a inexplicable sentiment regarding her. He could nous her impairment, each movement she completed he experienced. It was if they were allied, a authority Koven could not direct. Koven’s eyes flickered from beneath his eyelashes.
Koven bowed to the female, "Not at all, for I lurch across you as you descend facing me. Conveniently there is nonentity for you to be remorseful for" He alleged in a somewhat affectionate tenor. “What is a solitary she-wolf accomplishing itinerating this coppice unaccompanied in any case?” He enquired, becoming additionally defensive over the female.
“She is striking” He reflected, his mind vigorous in a distraught confusion. He gradually marched a little closer to the female. He distinguished her undernourishment, and yearned to give her a gorge, he longed to provide her whatever obsession to formulate her to be contented once more. He surveyed the conditions there was denial enhancement in that locale. The vapours had broken in some parts but that was the only sign of it clearing. His eyes searched for symptom of asylum, but alas there was nonentity. A folio fell on Koven’s proboscis; the leaf was jade with a bullion band. He twitched it off and lingered for a rejoinder from the unidentified female. Her fleece was clumped but he could differentiate the splendour and elegance that was previously there. She had esteemed before, but she had been disloyal to by that worship. Numerous a wolf had mortified her separating her with nothing. This was not what Koven sought: He wanted this wolf to be protected, be secure under his sentinel, for he knew what she required: she needed to feel affection and exquisiteness. And this was what he would supply.

Even at 6 months, Velli was hiding. It had been uncounted weeks since the darks had found her, and now they were looking again. For her. The fea whined softly, her throat constricting with fear as the shadow of her ‘alpha’ fell across her light, darkening her world as he spoke the fateful words; “Look at me, Velli.” The fea turned her head, only to be met by his heavily clawed paw across her cheek. Velli screamed, already feeling the crimson pain pour from her wound. Her eye wouldn’t open. Velli let out a terrified howl as she stumbled away to anywhere but where he was.
Velli opened her eye with a hushed gasp, her mind rearing away from the ugly memory. When the brute spoke, she inhaled with wonderment. He didn’t sound vengeful or resentful at all. Shocked, she listened to his deep tone as he spoke. “I’m just going anywhere really...” The fea mumbled, keeping her skull at an angle so he wouldn’t see her scar and eye. Discomfort coursed through her blood as Velli noticed just how ashamed she was of herself.
She knew it would be best to not give away her name just yet, in case the handsome male was from her old pack, searching for her. “So...” Velli began hesitantly, trying to keep her voice from trembling as her muzzle quivered. “Who, I mean um...What’s your name?” The crisp snow would restrain her pillars if she tried to flee, so if this brute turned on her there was no doubt she’d die.
Blinking, Velli clamped her maw shut, and waited for him to reply; though her muscles were taught and ready to run to safety. Her plume remained evenly horizontal to her sloping flanks, showing her lack of confidence. | |

The brute sat on his haunches showing courteousness and a degree of outgoingness. His tone intensified, as a yielding zephyr wafted the final outstanding flora of the prior autumn towards the Northern aquatics. He commenced "I am Koven, son of Galaxius of the fallen Realm" He affectionately spared, as the perceptibly alarmed Fea, leaned away from his, conceivably governing bearing. He shuddered his to some extent overconfident cranium, breathing in the she-wolf’s aroma. It was distinctive like not anything he had sensed before. It has a quantity of flora, and a slight suggestion of woodruff deep in her pelt, it was beautifully in contrast with the large amount of Honeybush. Koven beamed at the wolf, intently looking unfathomably into her orbs, he experienced himself becoming additional shielding over her. A small flock of linnets flew exceeding him, he observed as they resisted soaring alongside the strapping wind, there winds flying around, catching in the wind. He shuffled on his haunches, pending the Fea’s response. He gazed at her closer; he observed how she declined to demonstrate an element of her face. He ascended upwards, quivering his sodden fur, globules of drizzle spraying off in masses of directions.
His travelled around to her side, looking at her impaired eye. He stammered back, disturbed for her wellbeing, for a abrasion imposed to such a scale, could be touched by contamination with effortlessness ease. Koven let a snarl tear from his orifice. A wolf had handled this Fea. His Fea, the one he had come to heed for in a substance of seconds. “I’m apologetic for my outbreak madam” He whispered containing his outburst, for it must have startled the already alarmed wolf. He stepped backwards allowing her a chance to rain her former posture and state of mind, he lay on the jade grass hoping to show some kind of submission, in consideration of his rage.

The little fea shook her creamy pelt hard, attempting to remove the stress and gradual crescendo of fear that had been rooted in her ever since she set eyes on this male. Velli’s cautious, yet bright orbs roamed up to see her adversary, the stranger wolf that spoke to her as if she actually meant something. At his introduction, Velli twitched slightly, unappreciative of the title he had given himself. She reprimanded her tense mind for thinking in this manner though, for it was not Koven’s fault she was a self-esteem less wreck.
The handsome brute began peering to her left, and before Velli could reason as to the intent of his movement, he so clearly had come across her scar. Her blind eye. This was the Achilles Heel that had destroyed what might have been a happy life for the small lupine, and she would often cry herself into many uneasy sleeps; Just wishing she knew why this horrific curse had fallen upon her. Suddenly, Koven snarled. Memories of this simple noise awoke like terrifying bats in the she-wolf’s gut, and she sprang backwards in blind haste, knowing nothing but the desperate need to flee from his anger.
Velli’s pillars stumbled, falling over themselves as she scrambled away. Slipping once more, the fea saw the ground rise up to meet her sleek skull, and with a muted thud, she hit the earth. Breathing so heavily that it pained her, Velli lay still, crumpled in a heap. Truth was, she hadn’t injured herself at all, but with any luck Koven would assume she had died, or at least fallen unconscious and would leave.
The fea opened her good eye, knowing that her plan would never work. Slowly, she tilted her head around so she could see the brute, and felt confusion strike like an arrow through her as she found him down in a somewhat submissive pose.
It’s because I’m being brave, Pretending I’m okay, But you don’t believe that shit right? Not true, not true, not true...
