No one could stop him. He felt free. Fearless. Powerful in some kind of way. His tongue was hanging and his eyes were wide open following a bird that was flying low. He couldn't resist but to jump in mid air and grab it. So close but yet so far away. His breathing became intense and his pupils shrunk each time more, and exhaustion embraced him in an unimaginable way. His ears were fully erected, forward, listening to his victim's screams of desperation. His legs ran faster and faster as each minute passed by. He felt awesome. "You won't get away!" he screamed on the top of his lungs. The bird occasionally looked down, trying to avoid him, but the task seemed hard and tiring. As the bird looked down, it forgot that it had to look front and smashed against a tree. Asheera laughed uncontrollably as the bird fell down. "Ha! I told you that you wouldn't get away!" he smiled and ran toward the bird. He then holded it with one leg and tore its head off without any mercy. At first, he started to chomp down the now dead bird, removing all those pesky feathers that prevented him to get a pleasant meal. Or appetizer, if you'd like to call it that way.
.:: After the ate the whole thing down to the bone, he licked the blood out of his maw and smiled. He then grabbed the bones and hid them somewhere far from him. He then walked a few feet away from it and collapsed on the ground and lowered his head, resting them in his legs. He closed his eyes and took a few-minute short nap. He then felt thirsty. Asheera opened his white-blue eyes widely and stretched his whole body, shook off the dirt from his fur and walked towards the supposed waterfall was at. His tongue was as dry as a desert and he felt hot. The day was awfully steaming. It wasn't as pleasant as other days. What was so different about this one? Was it the heat or was it the loneliness of the day? "My God... I seriously need some friends." he muttered to himself and trotted towards the waterfall. As he walked, he admired his surroundings. Hot. STEAMING hot, but beautiful in many ways. Birds flying peacefully, butterflies on flowers, bumblebees wabbling around. Peaceful, just as he likes it. Nevertheless, the joy soon was over; he quickly arrived to the river that lead to the waterfall.
.:: He bent down his head to have some of it. Asheera carefully drank the ice cold water; refreshing to the body and soul. He was cautious though, always looking around for any signs of danger around him. His ears were moving everywhere and his eyes were scanning his whole surroundings. Every twig that broke at the distance, every bush that moved, every animal that walked by; he didn't trust anyone these days. The only thing missing was a bunny attacking him now, which one did once when he was small. He smiled as he drank. When he finished, he stared at the running water. The crackling sound made him relax in an amazing way; it was like music to his ears; like art to his eyes. Everything was just perfect. But, since the day was hot, he decided to at least lay down in the water to cool down. As he did, he felt a cold rush go through his body. He made a sigh of relief and smiled. "Now, if only there would be someone to share this with... today's very hot anyway. Someone would like some good refreshment." he said to himself in a low, almost unhearable voice. He lifted his head and looked at the trees dancing with the wind.
It was quiet.
Too quiet, perhaps?
The world is full of wonders, isn't it?
